Isolene Fish Leatherberry Cornell, died on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 in Viroqua. She was born May 20, 1919 in Gillingham, the daughter of Laverne Judson Fish and Rena Bell (Endicott) Fish. Isolene married Gerald Leatherberry on September 25, 1937 in Oelwein, Iowa, and they made their home on Summit Ridge, rural Viola, where they were blessed with six children. Gerald died in 1957. Isolene married Richard Cornell on October 7, 1958. They lived and farmed the Cornell homestead on Cornell Drive, rural La Farge, until Richard’s death in 1986. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking and baking their special foods. She always took pride in her garden and home.

daughter in law: Avanell Leatherberry of La Farge
son in law Arlyn Bork of Marion
grandchildren: Jerry Leatherberry, Jodie St. Clair, Amy Mahal, Christy Clemens, Kevin Leatherberry, Scott Leatherberry, Chris Leatherberry

brother Arthur Fish of Florida
sister in law Emily Fish of Richland Center
many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands, Isolene was preceded in death by her daughter Karen Bork; her sons: Arlyn, Eldon and Gerald; her parents; brothers: Elgin, Grant, and Eldon; and sisters: Ruth, Vera, Jessie and Letha. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at the LA FARGE FREE METHODIST CHURCH. Burial will be in the Viola Cemetery. Friends may call at the SELAND HUSTON FUNERAL HOME in La Farge on Saturday, March 12, 2011 from 4 PM until 7 PM. Friends may call on Sunday at the Free Methodist Church from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt Thank You to Dr. Deline and to the staff of Bethel Home. They suggest memorials be directed to the La Farge EMS in memory of Isolene. The Seland Huston Funeral Home of La Farge is assisting the family with their arrangements
