Phyllis L. Appleman, age 89, of LaFarge, died on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Vernon Manor. She was born November 2, 1921 the daughter of Omer and Nellie Clark. Phyllis was united in marriage with Henry Appleman on her 21st birthday in Cashton. They farmed and raised their family together in rural La Farge most of their married life.
Survivors include her four children: Judy (Jim Ledman) of Viola and their children: Laura (Jeff Kerkman), Teresa Oliphant, and Jim (Darcy Crook) Ledman
Gail (Darwin Wallace) of West Lima and their children: Robby, Troy, and Heath (Sadie Ray)
Richard (Kathy Brickl) of La Farge and their children: Brandon (Jessica Hook) and Danielle Wight
Brian of La Farge and his children: Logan, Dalton and Mallory

Four sisters: Mary Strait, Violet Jorgenson, Mae Fronk and Donna Smith
many nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Henry, her parents, her brothers: Hollie, Berlie, Leland, Dale and Vernie; and sisters: Zenneth Widner, and Thella Wolfe; and her great grandson Benjamin Kirkman.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the LA FARGE FREE METHODIST CHURCH. Pastor Mark Phillips will officiate and burial will be in the Dell Cemetery. Friends may call at the LA FARGE FREE METHODIST CHURCH on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM or on Thursday from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00. The Seland Huston Funeral Home of La Farge is assisting the family with their arrangements.
