Mary Dalberg, 82, of La Farge died Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the Gunderson Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse. She was born September 25, 1927 in Vernon County the daughter of Arnie and Ada (Privett) Clift. Mary graduated from Kickapoo High School. On June 2, 1945 she married Byron ‘Barney’ Dalberg in Westby and he preceded her in death in 1995. They farmed for many years in Forest Township, Richland County. In 1973 they moved to La Farge and Mary began babysitting at her home and became a mother to many.

She is survived by four children, Kenley (Carolyn) Dalberg of Caledonia, IL, Earl (Judy) Dalberg of Viola, Kelly Dalberg of La Farge, Sally (Dean) Fortun of Viola, 9 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 15 step great-grandchildren, sister, Gene Pellett of Viola, two sister-in-laws, Wilma Dampier of La Farge, Bonnie Clift of Hillpoint, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband ‘Barney’, son Dean, daughter-in-law Sue Dalberg, one great-grandson Charlie, one step great-grandson Matthew, three brother-in-laws, one sister-in-law, and nephew Ole Dalberg.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the La Farge Free Methodist Church with Pastor Mark Philips officiating with burial to follow in the Viola Cemetery. Friends may call at the Seland-Huston Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again at the church on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at 2:00 PM. The Seland Huston Funeral Home is assisting the family with their arrangements.
